Colonography

What is Colonography?

Colonography is  a medical imaging technique that takes detailed pictures of the colon (the large intestine). It involves the same preparation as a colonoscopy, but pictures are taken with a CT or MRI scan instead of inserting a camera into the colon.

This imaging test helps screen for colon cancer and other gastrointestinal diseases. It is often known as a “virtual colonoscopy”.
